What is Reformer Pilates?
Reformer Pilates provides each individual with an opportunity to re-balance their body by targeting and strengthening weakened areas with a variety of exercises undertaken to promote length, strength, flexibility and balance.
From attending our Pilates classes you can expect to improve your posture, flatten your stomach and tone every limb in your body!
If you’ve experienced matwork Pilates before, you’ll know what amazing core-strengthening work it is. However, by adding the spring resistance of the reformer as well as light weights you will experience a new level of total body workout.
The origins of the Pilates reformer date back to the original Pilates studio in New York in the 1920’s and was designed by Joseph Pilates himself. The reformer uses springs, pulleys, bars & straps to perform hundreds of exercises in a variety of positions to target specific muscle groups.
